WHAT: Over 30 graduates of the Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District green job training program will be honored by Governor Jon S. Corzine and Department of Labor Commissioner David J. Socolow today in an official graduation ceremony on stage at the 4th Annual Lincoln Park Music Festival. Many of the graduates have interviewed for energy assistant positions at PSEG. Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District is collaborating with private industry, labor, state and local government, higher education, and community-based organizations, with support from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and in conjunction with the Trenton based Isles’ Development Center for Energy and Environmental Training (CEET), to stimulate green jobs in New Jersey. Invited speakers include Jon S. Corzine, Governor, State of New Jersey; commencement speech, David J. Socolow, NJ Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Devoplment, Ralph Izzo, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer, PSEG , Baye Adofo-Wilson, Executive Director, LPCCD, Robert Wisniewski, Director of Sustainable Development, LPCCD, Graduate, Green Jobs Training Program.
